    MARRIAGE or CIVIL UNION LICENSE

Under construction.  Please check back soon.

Marriage and civil union licenses are valid for 60 days from the date of issuance.  If both parties are from out-of-state and you are getting married or having a civil union in Vermont, you may obtain your license from any Vermont Town Clerk Office.  It is not necessary to obtain your license from the town in which you are getting married or having a civil union.  If one or both parties live in Vermont, it is required that the license be obtained in the town where one of the persons lives.
