Energy Committee
The Waitsfield Selectboard endorsed the formation of an Energy Committee in the spring of 2007. Altough it has not yet been officially formed and defined (such as by a resolution defining the number of member, terms, etc.), initial members include Selectmen Sal Spinosa, Charlie Hosford, and Paul Hartshorn, and Town Admnistrator Valerie Capels. By unanimous coersion, Sal Spinosa agreed to be the Chair. One of the first orders of business was to seek an Energy Coordinator to assist the Committee with developing and carrying out an energy workplan. Dennis Derryberry was appointed on May 14, 2007. Meetings The Energy Committee has not yet established a regular schedule of meetings and will be meeting on an as-needed basis for now. In addition to the routine meeting notices posted at the Town Office and other public places, meetings will be noticed on the Town Calendar.
