Description

This road is actually comprised of two pent roads that lie on the same right of way until they split off at the end and was laid in 1859 (see CCGIS record 142). Its location, as shown, is uncertain and is based off the Walling Atlas of 1858. The pent road left from the dwelling place [was] resided in by Peter Moriarty and owned by Roderick Richardson. On the Atlas, P. Moriarty shows up twice and the road indicated was either located as shown or come off Common Road (TH 4) some ways to the south.

More research would be needed to determine which dwelling was referred to by the survey. It is likely that finding any evidence of this road will be hard as it was established wholly as a pent road and was probably only ever used by two people whose mountain pastures it connected to.
