Description

This is a road running from what is now East Warren Road (TH 1) to state highway Route 100 connecting at or near the old fair grounds. This road, as far as I can tell, corresponds to a road survey from 1821 (see CCGIS record 72). Historian Matt Jones referred to this road in his town history published in 1908 (pages 61 and 68), and as late as the 1930s can be remembered by living historian Richard Bisbee. If the road was still being used in the 1930s, it is possible the road may still be visible.

Another road record shows an earlier with approximately the same starting point but running more southerly than the road mentioned above. A discontinuance record (see CCGIS record 93) seems to correspond to this other road, though it could be worth going over the records again to confirm this. Either way there we can be sure that at least one of these roads was never discontinued and connects what is now the East Warren Road (TH 1) with State Route 100.
