How
is the road right-of-way measured?
The road right-of-way is typically measured in units called
"rods." One rod is equal to 16.5 feet. All
Town roads are at least three rods wide, or 49.5 feet (often rounded
up to 50 feet), though some may be wider, such as 4 rods or more.
