This is not a comprehensive summary and there are many key documents and events not yet listed. 1987 February - Planning study for water and sewer facilities. 1989 February - Mad River Valley Regional Sewerage Study. 1994 Selectboard Annual Report for 1994 regarding the zoning admendment efforts for commercial water extraction as a conditional use. 2001 May - Correspondence between Phelps Engineering, Inc. and Jack and Judy Smith (April 27, 2001) and between Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Bill Bryant (April 16, 2001). (4 pgs, 157 KB) May/June - Public notice of application #E-0890 having been filed by Town to test wells on Jack and Judy Smith property for a public community water system. 2002 July - Proposed Wastewater Site Hydrgeologic Investigation, by Pioneer Environmental, Inc. August - First of two test wells drilled on the Smith property on Bridge Street in Waitsfield Village. Drilling 700 feet at Site F1 yielded only 35 gallons per minute (gpm). September - Wastewater Facilities Plan - 60% draft, by Phelps Engineering, Inc. October - WSTF Waitsfield Income Survey. 2003 July 8 - Status Report to Planning Commission from Town Administrator. (2 pgs, 15 KB ) July - Archaelogical Phase I Site Identification Survey and Phase II Evaluation of Wastewater Collection. 2005 July - Press Release: Reed Road Well Exploration issued by the Selectboard. (1 pg, 13 KB ) September - Emergent Conditions Resolution passed by Waitsfield Selectboard. September - EPA Grant Appropriation ($1 million). 2006 March - EPA Grant Appropriation ($1 million). May - Wastewater Basis of Final Design submitted. June - Municipal Wastewater System Environmental Report submitted. June 30 - Town Administrator William Bryant became Town Administrator in Bristol after 17 years of service in Waitsfield. August 1 - Valerie Capels became new Town Administrator. September - Reed Road Water Supply Well Completed (186 gpm). November 13 - Town hired Michael Cunningham as new Municipal Project Manager.
